Writing and Reading Strategies

Writing and reading strategies
When you start writing, sometime you just don’t know how to start, so do I. Therefore, since I brainstorm all the ideas and think about what reader will ask me? It is really helpful to have a lot of ideas to write it and you will just enjoy what you are writing. Most important is these ideas really show what do you want to present to the reader and they will all get the point that you want to communicate!

And here is another strategies when you read, which is summarizing and visualizing. Summarizing will help you figure out when you lost the author ideas, because you rearrange the ideas that the author wants to pass on. Visualizing, I think is slimily as prediction. But the different between it and prediction is visualizing not only think about how the story’s plot going, but you really have a painting in you mind that will make you have fun and enjoy while you’re reading.

Amateur Education- Comment

After reading the post from student 2.0, which is “Amateur Education”. I though this author really present what is situation of student learning. We should not study our course like a study machine! We should study what we like it, what we interest in! That is what we want and we will study efficiently by ourselves.

Sometime I have a concept of schoolwork, I thought if I hate a course just because I am not good at it. Teacher and school engage me a lot of works that always make me stifle. I won’t get any knowledge of this course. Even though I was learned this knowledge, I would just forget it until I graduate from the school. I won’t have any achievements in my furture.

In my opinion, I would rather to be a amateur learner, study what I want to learn and success in my future without any regret! Therefore, be an amateur learner is countenanced by student and even their parents.

Reading and Prediction

Since I was taught a way to read a book by me English teacher, I though this way is really helpful and easier to understand what the stories or plots will take place next. And this manner not only for read a book, I sure of a lot of you use this manner many time while you live in your usual life. For example, when we watch a movie or a drama that you interest in. You will automatically think about and guess what will happen next, you predict the plots! I think most of people will predict the drama or movie while they watched TV. But there are only a few people predict the plots or stories while they reading an essay, a novel and a narrative…etc.

After I learned to predict the plot, it really useful that you will image a lot of picture in your mind while you are reading. You will guess what the character would do for next plots or what would come out for next paragraph. If it is a picture what you guess in your mind, that is not only help you pass through a lot of paragraphs save a lot times, you mostly get the point what the author want to teach or comminute! If it is not a picture, that is ok! Because you actually write a story by your own while you are reading.
